A Welcome from Our CEO

Welcome! —and thank you for taking the time to learn more about our new home in Todmorden.

As a family run organisation based in Nottingham, this is an exciting moment for us. As a newly opened home under new ownership, we have a unique opportunity to build something at Centre Vale Hall from the very beginning—to create not just a care service, but a place where people will feel safe, respected, and truly at home.

While our doors have only recently opened, our vision is already very clear. We are here to provide thoughtful, compassionate care for people living with dementia and complex needs, with a focus on truly understanding each individual person. For me, it has always been important that care is not defined solely by clinical excellence, but by how people are treated in the small, everyday moments—with patience, dignity, and genuine kindness.

Starting from the ground up with our new home gives us the chance to shape everything with care and intention—from the environment itself to the team we bring together. I have been personally involved in ensuring that we recruit people who not only have the right skills and experience, but who share our values and approach. As our first residents join us, they won’t be stepping into an established routine—they will be helping us create a home, and that is something we take great pride in.

I understand that choosing a care home, particularly when it comes to dementia or complex care, can feel like a significant and sometimes overwhelming decision. My promise to you is that we will approach that responsibility with honesty, openness, and a deep sense of accountability. As a newly opened home we are not building on habit, or “the way things have always been done”—we are building from fresh, with a clear commitment to getting things right from day one.

Todmorden is a new and important part of our story. We want to be more than just a care home located here—we want to become part of the community, to build relationships locally, and to create a warm and welcoming environment for families as well as residents.

Above all, I want Centre Vale Hall to be a place that I would feel entirely confident recommending to my own family. A place where people are not just cared for, but known, valued, and respected as individuals.

We very much look forward to welcoming our first residents and their families, and to building something truly special together.

Warm regards,
Tanzeel Younas
